Our sons, Hannes since 2001 and Henning since 2006, grow up wth our Bassets.
From these experiences we can say that Bassets have are definitely a very child-friendly breed.
We don`t want forget to mentionthat Bassets have, according to their weihgt between 25 to 35 kg, a certain amount of weight themselves, wich children are often unable to evaluate.
A very important aspect due to the handling of children and Bassets is the clear rank order for the Bassets Hound in the family.
But also the children has to learn and accept the rules of the parents in the presence of the Bassets.
Everyone is able to apperciate more fun the cleare the manor of behaviour is defined.
Our Bassets are not only playmates with whom you can play around or who you can cuddle, but they also spend wonderful comfort and are able to funcion as a crying cushion.
