Not far away from the centre of the city, but quite in the middle of nature there is our house, located in the idyllic "Elbauen- landscape", In the east of Magdeburg.
We began 1999, when I fulfilled my huseband´s wish and brought the bitch " Gräfin Henriette vom Elbeblick".But before that I ask myself, why did it have to be a Basset?
There are hundreds of different breeds in the world. My husband told me that you have to experience this breed to understand it.
I was convinced and we got our Gräfin.
Already after a very short time I was caught by the fascination which comes along by the everyday life together with a Basset Hound and I became addicted to that wonderful race.
It is not only the single trait of character of the Hound, which is worth mentioning, but the whole composition of being, character and appearance. Essential for my decision was probably to experience how much gentle manner the Basset shows while dealing with our sons. My love to this breed and the which of dog breeding grew in the following years.
My dog breeding way led me, via different stages, to the homeland of the Basset- to England, where I received much support.
